Punar Vivaah is a very popular show on Zee Tv that replaced Bhagonwali-Baante Apni Taqdeer. It airs every Monday-Friday and receives a tough competition from Balaji Telefilm's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain which airs on Sony TV.

The concept is based on the second marriage of Yash and Aarti. The story is based in Bhopal in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Aarti is a divorcee with a son, Ansh and Yash is a widower with two daughters, Payal and Palak. Aarti's in-laws from the previous marriage treat her as their own daughter and want her to get remarried. Initially Yash and Aarti get married for the well being of their kids but eventually they fall in love. The story is about two people who are sad and heart broken because of their previous relationship and how they cope up with their new relationship. Thus the story revolves around their second marriage or Punar Vivah.

The lead actress Kratika Sengar is a popular Indian television actress. She worked on popular television shows like Kasautii Zindagii Ki, Lux Kaun Jeetega Bollywood ka Ticket, Kya Dill Mein Hai and Jhansi Ki Rani. Currently she is playing the role of Aarti in Punar Vivah, the second wife of the Gurmeet aka Yash whose first wife has died.

27 year old actress belongs to Kanpur and graduated in Delhi. Before entering into Television Industry, she worked in an ad agency in Mumbai.
